BRIDGEWATER, Va. - Hurricane Florence has forced the postponement of all athletic events this weekend, with football's game vs. North Carolina Wesleyan rescheduled for next Saturday.

The game will be played at the Jopson Athletic Complex on Saturday, September 22 at 3 p.m., pending the storm's impact on both areas.

The 2018 Hall of Fame induction ceremony, originally scheduled for this weekend, has been postponed. A new date for the event will be announced when it is finalized.

Today's three events, including home games for women's soccer (vs. Southern Virginia) and volleyball (vs. Roanoke), along with men's soccer at Eastern Mennonite, are all still planned as scheduled.

The rest of this weekend's events are postponed: Friday's home field hockey game vs. Juniata; women's golf at SVU, men's tennis at Randolph, a home volleyball tri-match with SVU/Mary Baldwin and men's soccer's home game vs. SVU on Saturday; and both of Sunday's contests (women's soccer at home vs. N.C. Wesleyan, field hockey at Frostburg State).

Volleyball will now play Mary Baldwin at home on Thursday, Sept. 20 at 7 p.m. Field hockey will travel to Frostburg State on Sept. 20 at 4 p.m. Volleyball will make up their SVU match on Wed., Oct. 10, after hosting Virginia Wesleyan the night before (Oct. 9).

As of now, there is no planned makeup date for these weekend home games: field hockey vs. Juniata, men's soccer vs. SVU and women's soccer vs. N.C. Wesleyan.

The women's golf tournament at SVU has been re-scheduled to October 11.

The Tom Kinder Memorial was pushed back one week to Sept. 24-25.
