Baseball Team Schedules Crimson-Gold World Series


The Bridgewater College baseball team will play its fall Crimson and Gold World Series beginning Sunday, Sept. 27, with Game 1 at 3:15 p.m. The series will be the best two-of-three with Game 2 on Tuesday and Game 3 Wednesday. All games will be seven-inning games.

The Gold squad will be managed by senior outfielder Drew Easter. Members if the gold team include position players Devon Snow (C,OF), Easter (OF), Mitchell Edwards (2B), Brett Howell (3B), Andy Chrismer (DH), Garrett Hughes (SS), Jake Wade (C,1B), Michail Madison (OF), Christian Armstrong (OF), Mark Smith (1B) and Jonathan Delange (OF).

John Bayse will start Game 1 for the Gold with Smith and Wade scheduled for relief duty. Armstrong will start Game 2 with Chris Baird and Wade in relief.

The Crimson squad will be managed by junior shortstop Tyler Hodges. Position players include Adam Utz (C,1B), Hodges (SS), Kevin Kirk (OF), Andrew Hacker (3B.1B), Blake Stokely (OF), Alex Nuttycombe (2B,3B), Alex Hogge (C), Davis Hewitt (DH), Jonathan Mason (OF), Drew Elkins (1B) and Matt Maher (2B,3B).

Hacker will start Game 1 for the Crimson with Mason and Stokely in relief. Joseph Lucas will start Game 2 with Zach Folger and Stokely coming out of the bullpen.

The winning team in the Series will be served dinner by the losing team in the Boitnott Room on Oct. 6.
