BC riders compete at Culpeper "A" Show
Bridgewater College riders enjoyed taking their own horses to
the "A" Culpepper show and competing successfully against some of
the top riders from Canada and the East Coast states.
Lindsay Ferguson was Champion in the Modified Children/Adult Hunter
division as well as the Adult Equitation Division riding her new
horse Amulet.
Sara Ann Speed was the most consistent ribbon earner in the Adult
Equitation Division earning ribbons in all four of the classes on
her horse Keep Your Eyes On Me.
Freshman Julie Freund was Champion in the Adult Novice Equitation
Division and Reserve Champion in the Pre-Children/Adult Hunter
Division.
Freshman Alex Dupont moved her horse, Arsenik, up to the Amateur
Owner Division and was the only BC rider competing in the 3'6"
hunter division.
The show culminated for our riders with the Adult Hunter Classic
where Caitlin Hewitt received the highest score for the second
round and moved up to finish third with her young gelding, Rio's
Dancer. Lindsay Ferguson was fourth and Erin Bair, with her
youngster Central Park finished sixth in the very competitive
class.
