Equitation Club Hosts Largest Show Ever At BCEC

WEYERS CAVE, Va. - The Bridgewater College Equestrian Center was the site Saturday for the largest show ever hosted at  the college's facility.

A total of 60 BC riders participated in the event and the hillside was filled with trailers coming from every corner of Virginia. The show lasted until 8:30 p.m. and all went home successful and exhausted!

In the Adult Hunter Division the champion was Amulet owned and ridden by junior Lindsay Ferguson while  Markelo, owned and ridden by freshman Brooke Cole was reserve champion.

In the Special Children's Hunter division the chapion was Honeysuckle Rose, owned by Sarah Irvine and ridden by Freshman Lauren Casey.

The Special Adult Hunter division was won by Winston Churchill, owned by Bridgewater College and ridden by Jaime Robinson

In Pleasure Hunter, the Reserve Champion of Section B was sophomore Kristina Glenn.

In the Oak Ridge Medal, A jumper/equitation Medal competition Emily Wolek was second followed by Shelby Goodman in third, Julie Freund in fourth, Kelly Fletchall in fifth and Sarah Black in sixth.

Freshman McKenna Snido won the SWVHJA Junior Equitation on the Flat.

The highly competitive Adult Equitation on the Flat was won by Jamie Robinson.

The SWVHJA Adult Medal was won by Emily Wolek

Lindsay Ferguson was the Children's/Adult Hunter Classic winner on her horse Amulet.

The Children's Hunter Reserve Champion was freshman Kelsey Shrader riding Marcus for owner Sara Davis.
