Eagles Tied For Fifth After First Day Of Team Competition at IHSA National Show

LEXINGTON, Ky. - The Bridgewater College riding team is tied for fifth place after three events at the IHSA National Show at the Kentucky Horse Center in Lexington, Ky.

Competition was held Thursday in three classes - Novice Over Fences, Novice on the Flat and Intermediate on the Flat.

There are 16 riders in each class and riders finishing in the top six earn points for their team.

Bridgewater finished the first day with four points, all coming on Lindsey Goode's third-place finish in Novice on the Flat.

Lauren Casey rode for the Eagles in Intermediate on the Flat and Tara Deckel competed in Novice Over Fences, but both riders placed outside the top six.

Three more classes will enter the ring Friday with competition in Intermediate Over Fences, Walk-Trot, and Walk-Trot-Canter. Riding for the Eagles will be Taylor Rose in Intermediate Over Fences, Allyson Gallamore in Walk-Trot and Geordan Duncan in Walk-Trot-Canter.
