Bridgewater Riders Excel At Fall Show

WEYERS CAVE, Va. - A total of 51 Bridgewater College riders participated in the 5th Annual Fall Show on Saturday at the Bridgewater College Equestrian Center.

Katie Leonard won the Oak Ridge Medal, followed by Shelby Goodman in second place, Taylor Rose third, Sarah Black fifth, and Tara Deckel sixth.

Taylor Rose won three of the four Children’s Hunter Classes and was Champion of the Divison on her horse Wallstreet Journal. The fourth class was won by Emily Manos, a freshman, aboard Bridgewater College entry Sephora. 

Rose also won the SWVHJA Junior Equitation on the flat, followed in second by freshman Alex Szucs. 

The SWVHJA Adult Equitation on the flat was won by Leonard, followed by Emmy Rhodes in second, Lauren Casey in third, Lindsey Goode fourth, and Dana Paulding in sixth . 

Leonard also won the SWVHJA combined Children’s and Adult Medal, followed by Goodman in second, Casey in third, Black in fourth and Rose in fifth. 

Kayla Deyarmin received a second, two third-place ribbons and a fifth in the Adult Hunter division and finished third in the Classic. 

Goodman won the second class in the Adult Hunters as well as the Child/Adult Hunter Classic aboard Bridgewater College’s entry Winston Churchill. 

Lindsay Ferguson and Amulet won a second and fourth in the Adult Hunters and finished sixth in the Classic. 

Allyson Gallamore received a first, second and third and was Reserve Champion of the Pleasure Hunter Division. 

Kaylyn Jennings received two third-place ribbons in the Pleasure Hunter Division. 

Lane Hahn received two seconds and a third-place ribbon aboard Silver Screen in the Hopeful Hunter Division. 

In the Special Children’s Hunter Division, Caitlin Palmer won a class and Melanie Vest finished second , sxith and fourth . 

In section B of the Pleasure Hunter, Casey Balderson received two second-place ribbons, followed by Megan Cullip with a third and fifth, MaKenzie Allessio with a third and fourth and  Kelly Pennington with a fourth.
