Bridgewater Riders Place Sixth At Sweet Briar

SWEET BRIAR, Va. - The Bridgewater College riders struggled to a sixth-place finish Sunday at the Sweet Briar IHSA show.

Randolph College and the University of Virginia tied for first place in the show with 30 points. The Bridgewater riders finished with 21 points.

Bridgewater rider Taylor Rose captured the Reserve High Point Rider for the show as she placed third in Open Over Fences and Open on the Flar.

In the intermediate division, Brooke Cole made her season debut and placed sixth on the flat. Emmy Rhodes competed in the intermediate over fences class.

In the Novice division, Victoria Hatfield also made her season debut and placed first on the flat. Lauren Casey took sixth place over fences.

Leslie Allen rode in the Advanced Walk Trot, Canter division, placing fifth and Adrien Green placed fifth in her Walk Trot division.

The riders return to action Saturday when they host an IHSA show at the Bridgewater College Equestrian Center.
