Riders Fare Well At Annual SWVHJA Show

LEXINGTON, Va. - Bridgewater riders brought home a slew of ribbons from the recent SWVHJA Annual Show held at the Virginia Horse Center.

Samantha Van Winter placed fourth and sixth in the Adult Amateur Hunter division and won the Handy Hunter class on Bridgewater's Arsenik.

Caroline Shipe placed sixth in the Green Hunter over fences and was reserve champion in the Special Adult Hunters placing first and second on Bridgewater's West Edition.

Nicole Hylton rode in the $1,000 Invitational Hunter Derby and received fifth place on her own Midnight Moon. Nicole and Midnight Moon also placed fourth in the SWVHJA Adult Medal Finals and sixth in the Adult Equitation on the flat.

Nina Cirrucci received champion in the Beginner Equitation Division with a first, second, third, and fourth-lace finishes. Nina rode Heather Weaver's Rhea.

Alexandria Willard received champion in the Special Children's Hunter Division winning two first-place ribbons on Bridgewater's Latin Lover. Alex and Latin Lover also placed seventh in the Children's Handy Hunter.

Katelyn Dugan rode Bridgewater's Cassiopeia in the Level 1 jumpers receiving fourth, first, and second-place finishes.

Megan Heffernan rode Bridgewater's Raphaela in the Special Adults receiving two fifths. Megan and Raphaela competed in the Special Adult/Special Children's Hunter classic receiving second place. Megan also rode Amelia Bayer's Road to Redemption in the level 1 jumpers receiving two firsts and a fifth.

Amelia Bayer rode her own Road to Redemption in the level 3 jumpers, placing first and first. In the level 4 jumpers Amelia and Road to Redemption placed 3rd. Amelia also rode her own Handsome Devil in the level 3 jumpers placing first, fourth, and sixth. Amelia and Handsome Devil also rode in the Children's/Adult Jumper classes placing 1st.

Jordan Criss rode her own Elianna SF in the hopeful jumpers placing sixth. Elianna and Jordan also rode in the level 1 jumpers placing fifth.

Alex Eichenmuller rode Bridgewater's Cassiopeia in the Hopeful jumpers to a first and second place finish.

Meagan Escobar rode Bridgewater's Latin Lover in the Special Adult Hunter division, placing 1st.

Laurin Watts rode Kamerra Brown's Graceful Exit in the Special Adult Hunter division, placing sixth. 

Michaela Bragg rode her own Prado-Gee in the level 2 jumpers placing first, fourth, first, and first. Michaela also rode her own Shaded Masterpiece in the level 3 jumpers placing first and sixth.

Zellie Wothers participated in the SWVHJA annual show on Bridgewater's Conteazi and was the recipient of the jumper style award.

Michaela Jeuick competed in the Intermediate Hunter division on Bridgewater's Title One, placing fifth.

Callie Isaacs rode Bridgewater's Endeavor in the Children's Handy Hunter and placed third.

Zachary Hinch rode Mackensie Bowles', Pearl Necklace to a second-place finish in the SWVHJA Adult Equitation on the flat. Zachary also rode his own Chamaco Loco in the level 3 jumpers placing first and fourth. Zachary and Chamaco Loco also rode in the Children's/Adult Jumper classes placing first, first, and fourth. Zachary also rode Pearl Necklace to a seventh-place finish in the SWVHJA Adult Medal Finals

Erika Ramirez rode Bridgewater's Title One in the Beginner Equitation division placing fourth, third, sixth, and second.

Olivia Persinger rode Bridgewater's Endeavor in the Horse Handy Hunter to a fourth-place finish. She also placed third in the Horse Hunter Hack.

Savannah Laury rode Bridgewater's Up In Smoke in the hopeful jumper division, placing third.

Overall this was a very successful horse show. Several riders did not place, but should still be recognized for their wonderful rides. These riders are: Emily Thomas riding Emily Guyer's, Bailey, Tori Capuano riding her own Red Eyed Jet, Jemma Constant riding Kamerra Brown's, Graceful Exit, Hannah Foster riding Heather Weaver's Rhea, and Lauren Powtak riding her own Milk's Favorite Cookie and Raphaela and Isabella Eyles on Zachary Hinch's, Leonardo.
