Eagles Finish Third In IHSA Regional Standings As Season Comes To A Close

CHARLOTTESVILLE, Va. - Bridgewater College placed seventh in the final IHSA team event of the season Sunday afternoon at the University of Virginia. The Eagles finished third in the season-long regional standings.

The Eagles scored 16 points at Sunday's show to finish in seventh place. U.Va. placed first with 36 points, followed by Washington and Lee with 24 points.

Randolph College claimed the regional title with 292 points. U.Va. was second with 287 points and Bridgewater finished third with 280 points.

At Sunday's show, Kayla Parker placed fifth for the Eagles in Walk-Trot. Hannah Engle finished third in Advanced Walk-Trot-Canter.

In the novice division, Katelyn Dugan took fifth place on the flat and Tori Capuano finished fourth over fences.

Emily Thomas placed third in Intermediate on the Flat while Samantha Van Winter finished sixth in Open on the Flat.
