Riders Tie For Fifth At Lynchburg IHSA Show

The Bridgewater equestrian team tied for fifth at the Lynchburg IHSA show.

LYNCHBURG, Va. - The Bridgewater College equestrian team tied for fifth place Saturday at the Lynchburg College IHSA show.

The University of Virginia won the show with 36 points with Randolph finishing as reserve champion with 34 points.

In the Open Division, Samantha Van Winter and Zellie Wothers both placed fourth on the flat. In Open Fences, Van Winter took first place and Wothers finished fourth.

In the Intermediate Division, Caroline Shipe finished fourth over fences and Nicole Hylton finished second on the flat.

In Novice over fences, Katelyn Dugan and Georgia Osborne both finished fourth. On the flat in the Novice division, Dugan finished sixth and Megan Heffernan placed fourth.

In Advanced Walk-Trot-Canter, Isabel Ammedolia finished in second place and in the Walk-Trot Division, Kayla Parker finished third.
