CARLISLE, Pa. – The Bridgewater College field hockey team dropped their second one-goal decision in as many days, losing 2-1 at Dickinson on Saturday.

Emily Matisons scored unassisted with under 15 minutes remaining to halve a 2-0 deficit, but the Eagles couldn't find a second.

Bridgewater's best chance to tie came just minutes later, when Jacqueline DiFulvio played in a penalty corner that led to Laura Gretz' shot being turned away by Dickinson goalie Freddie Bancroft.

DiFulvio was saved by Bancroft just before Dickinson's opening goal, with Emma Godfrey putting the hosts ahead.

12 minutes later, Emily Mycek made it 2-0 off an assist from Chelsea Kramer.

Ali Bishop made four saves in goal for Bridgewater but fell to 0-2 on the season despite a GAA of 1.40 over the opening weekend.

Bridgewater (0-2) continues a tough opening stretch with a road trip to Mary Washington on Wednesday.
