Allyson Kenyon begins her seventh year at the helm of the Bridgewater College field hockey team.
Kenyon, a native of Harrisburg, PA, attended Central Dauphin
East High School where she participated in three varsity sports:
Field Hockey, Swimming and Soccer. In 1996 she was named the
school's Most Outstanding Female Athlete for her efforts on all
three teams. She continued her athletic and academic career at
Juniata College in Huntingdon, PA where she participated on both
the field hockey and swim teams for all four years. She was a three
time member of the National Field Hockey Coaches' Association's
All-Academic Team and the Mid-Atlantic Conference All-Academic
squads for both sports. Kenyon earned her Bachelor's Degree in
Politics from Juniata in 2000. Kenyon later earned her Master's
Degree in Athletic Administration/Coaching from James Madison in
2005.
Emphasizing academic excellence as well as teamwork and
competitiveness, Kenyon has had 19 athletes receive NFHCA Division
III All-Academic Team honors. She has also coached three
all-conference first team selections, three all-conference second
team players, and eight all-conference honorable mention
awardees.
Prior to her years at Bridgewater, Kenyon worked in Washington,
D.C. for a non-profit organization. She also helped coach the
inaugural season of the T.C. Williams Varsity Girls' Lacrosse
team.
Kenyon currently resides in Harrisonburg, VA and also serves
as the assistant lacrosse coach for Bridgewater College.
Kristin Ramey joins the Bridgewater field hockey staff after four years on the sidelines at McDaniel.
The recepient of McDaniel's Women's Athletic Alumnae Award for the most outstanding senior athlete, she was a four-year member of the Green Terror field hockey and women's lacrosse teams.
Twice named to the Centennial Conference first team in lacrosse, Ramey also earned third-team All-America honors from insidelacrosse.com following her senior campaign. She led the squad in goals (40), assists (13), points (53) and caused turnovers (25). An all-region selection after her junior season, Ramey was the team's MVP after pacing the team in ground balls (64) and caused turnovers (30).
During her four years, she amassed 73 goals and 26 assists for 99 points to rank among the all-time leaders in each category. Her 139 career ground balls ranks second all-time while her 76 draw controls is third and her 71 caused turnovers ranks fourth.
On the field hockey squad, she earned the team's most improved player award in 2003. During her four years, she totaled 11 goals and four assists for 26 points.
Ramey graduated from McDaniel in 2005, with a degree in exercise science and physical education. Ramey also spent a year as a lacrosse coach and physical education teacher at Bedford High School in Bedfordshire, United Kingdom.
Carter Maxey enters her second year as an assistant coach for the Eagles field hockey.
A four-year attacker and senior captain in 2007 for the Lynchburg Hornets, Maxey graduated Magna Cum Laude from Lynchburg with a bachelor's degree in communication studies and English.
Maxey played on the 2001 James River High School team which claimed the Virginia state championship.
Currently, Maxey is pursuing her master's degree in sport and recreation leadership at James Madison University.
