BC golfers win Ted Keller tournament

Bridgewater College shot a score of 304 in round two Sunday to hold off Greensboro College by three strokes and win the Ted Keller Invitational hosted by Randolph-Macon College at Hunting Hawk Golf Club.

The Eagles opened the tournament with a 292 in the first round and that provided enough cushion to hold off Greensboro. The Pride shot the best round on Sunday with a 297.

Nick Dean posted a 75 Sunday and finished with a two-day total of 146 to finish second overall. Dean finished two shots behind Greensboro medalist Brock Elder.

BC’s Michael Hankins tied for third overall with a two-day score of 148. Mike Redwood placed 15th with a 153 score and Aaron German was another stroke back in 16th place.
