Golfers Tied for 14th After Opening Day at Jekyll Island
JEKYLL ISLAND, Ga. - Junior Tod Foshee fired an even-par 72 opening round to lead the Bridgewater Eagles golf team to a tie a for 14th place after 18 holes of play at the Golden Isle Invitational.
Foshee's 72 paced the way for Eagles, as the Bridgewater scoring quartet posted a team score of +14, 302.
Senior John Phillips carded a first-round 73 to wrap up the day at one-over par, while sophomore Matt Dye posted an opening round 75 to turn in a three-over par opening round.
Junior Bobby Fields and senior Travis Gahman each rounded out the scoring foursome with a 10-over par, 82, round.
Day two of competition for the Golden Isle Invitational is set for Saturday afternoon.
