Eagles Improve in Final Tuneup for ODACs

WILLIAMSBURG, Va. - The Bridgewater College men's golf team improved by nine strokes in the Eagles' final tuneup before ODACs, shooting 306 at the Glen Heath Memorial.

Bridgewater followed a Monday 315 by shooting 306 on Tuesday, moving up one spot to fourth place and just three strokes back of third-place Shenandoah.

The top three Eagles finishers improved on their first round scores individually as well.

Luke Hill had BC's best score of 77 on Monday, and carded a 73 in the final round to tie for eighth place overall.

Ocean Armstrong and Eugene Dillon each shot 80-76=156 for the tournament and tied for 22nd place overall.

Ronald Uszenski and Jeremy Pannebaker each shot 81.

Bridgewater will begin the ODAC championships on Sunday, April 23, which is a three-day tournament. The Eagles are fifth in the conference in scoring average but, with their top seven players holding sub-80 averages and separated by just 4.5 strokes, BC has the depth to make a run if the entire team can play their best on the same weekend.
