Eagles Shoot Matching 306s at Roanoke

ROANOKE, Va. - The Bridgewater College men's golf team added one more tournament before the ODAC championships, shooting matching rounds of 306 at Roanoke.

The competing teams played 36 holes in one day and Bridgewater finished second with a score of 612- 19 strokes behind winners Hampden-Sydney.

Ocean Armstrong was one stroke off the lead through 18 holes after carding an opening round 73, and followed it with a 76 to place third.

Ronald Uszenski opened with a 79 but charged up to sixth place with a 73 in the afternoon.

Luke Hill shot 76-77 to tie for 10th place overall.

Jake Norby shot 83 in the first round but closed strong with a 76 to place t-17th.

The entire Eagles roster was able to get 36 holes in ahead of ODACs, including Jeremy Pannebaker (80-80=160), Mark Corella (80-81=161), Eugene Dillon (78-83=161) and Michael Gruver (79-90=169).

Playing in his first tournament for the Eagles, Hayden Moore shot 100-91=191. 

Bridgewater will begin the ODAC championships on Sunday, April 23, for the three-day tournament.
