BRIDGEWATER, Va. - The Bridgewater College Eagles men's basketball team will host Roanoke College in the opening round of the ODAC Tournament on Tuesday at 7:00 p.m. in Nininger Hall.
The Eagles claimed the No. 7 seed in for the tournament when Roanoke defeated Eastern Mennonite 83-81 Saturday evening. Bridgewater and Washington and Lee tied for seventh and eighth in the standings with 8-8 conference records. The Eagles were awarded the higher seed due to their victory over the Generals during the regular season.
Bridgewater swept the season series from Roanoke, winning on the road by a score of 64-57 and then winning at Nininger Hall, 75-73, two weeks ago.
Since this is a conference tournament contest there will be no free admission at the gate. All adults, this includes players' parents and Bridgewater Eagle Club members, will be charged $5 admission. All students (with ID) and children will be admitted free.
The winner of Tuesday's game will advance to the quarterfinals at the Salem Civic Center on Friday where they will meet Hampden-Sydney in the 6:00 p.m. contest.
