BC Men Compete at Nininger Pool for First Time

BRIDGEWATER, Va. – Bridgewater men's swimming had its first home meet, losing to Randolph 144-93 on Saturday.

The Eagles opened the meet with their first relay victory, taking the 400 medley relay in 5:24.37. The BC squad included Ralph Carter, Junior Hernandez, Raphael Stanek and Eric Garcia.

Bridgewater's one individual event win came in the 50 fly, which was taken by Jarratt Davis with a time of 30.63.

The Eagles demonstrated strong depth in the meet, but Randolph edged into the lead by winning 12 of 14 events.

The Eagles took second place in nine events, including three from Tito Alcazar (50 breast- 37.11, 100 breast- 1:20.84 and 100 IM- 1:18.28).

Taking second in two events were Davis (50 free- 28.34 and 200 free- 2:29.97) and Matt Young (100 fly-1:17.13 and 100 free-1:08.96). Ben Williams was second in the 100 free, in 1:34.97.

Williams was also third in the 50 back, with a time of 42.97.Chris Hollie was second in the 800 free (12:41.23) and third in the 400 free (6:04.80).

Bridgewater (0-3, 0-3 ODAC) will swim at Emory & Henry on Friday.
