Eagles Win Two Individual Events in Loss vs. Ferrum

SWEET BRIAR, Va. – The Bridgewater College men's swimming team raced Ferrum on Wednesday, losing 101-74 on the campus of Sweet Briar College.

The Eagles won two events, getting victories from Ben Williams in the 100 back (1:27.44) and Tito Alcazar in the 100 breast (1:20.32).

Alcazar was second in the 100 IM (1:15.76), as was Matt Young in the 100 free (1:05.37) and Jarratt Davis in the 50 free (27.73).

Davis touched second in three events, also placing runner-up in the 100 fly (1:15.40) and 400 free (5:55.96). Alcazar was third in the 100 fly, and Raphael Stanek was third in the 400 free.

Williams placed third in the 200 free, with a time of 2:49.43.

BC placed second in both relays, with Ralph Carter, Junior Hernandez, Stanek and Eric Garcia in the 200 medley relay (2:37.69) and Troy Jackson, Carter, Williams and Garcia in the 200 free relay (2:20.82).

Bridgewater (1-4, 1-4 ODAC) will have one more meet this semester- at the Yellow Jacket Invitational from December 1-2.
