Eagles Score in Five Saturday Events at ODACs

GREENSBORO, N.C. – The Bridgewater College men's swimming team scored points in five different events, in the second evening of finals at the ODAC championships.

Bridgewater is in ninth place out of 10 teams, with a score of 90 points.

Tito Alcazar was the top finisher in the B final of the 100 breast, swimming 1:05.34 to place ninth overall.

Matt Young (58.23) and Jarratt Davis (58.57) came in consecutively in the 100 fly, in 12th and 13th place respectively.

Chris Hollie also scored in the 400 IM, placing 13th with a time of 5:37.06.

Troy Jackson, Alcazar, Davis and Young were seventh in the 200 medley relay, in 1:48.76. In the 800 free relay, Davis, Hollie, Young and Ben Williams placed eighth with a time of 8:51.92.

In Saturday's morning prelims, Alcazar was 19th in the 100 fly (1:03.65). Young finished 19th in the 100 breast (1:11.68) and Junior Hernandez was 21st (1:22.32).

The 100 back prelims included Jackson (22nd, 1:14.29), Williams (23rd, 1:16.61) and Ralph Carter (25th, 1:23.34).

Competition wraps up tomorrow with the 1650 free, 200 back, 100 free, 200 breast, 200 fly and 400 free relay.
