Men's Tennis Rolls To 9-0 Victory Over E&H

BRIDGEWATER, Va. - Bridgewater College won its third straight conference match Sunday afternoon as the Eagles blanked Emory & Henry 9-0 on Mapp Courts.

The Eagles swept doubles play to take control.

Thomas Rishcoff and Emmett Johnson were first off the court as the Eagles' duo blanked Liam Davidson and James Watson-Dare, 8-0.

Freddie Roberts and Nathaniel Horner took the win at No. 3 doubles, holding off Luke Funkhouser and Cooper Garrett 8-5.

Joe Dillenbeck and Josh Rodgers completed the sweep with an 8-3 victory at No. 1 over John Dalton Ferguson and Grayson McCarty 8-3.

Rodgers moved the score to 4-0 with a 6-0, 6-0 victory over Dare at No. 3 and Rishcoff clinched the match with a 6-1, 6-0 victory over Funkhouser at No. 2 singles.

Dillenbeck had a close match at No. 1, but held off Ferguson 7-5, 6-2.

Bridgewater won the final three singles matches without losing a game as all three ended 6-0, 6-0. Horner won at No. 4, followed by Johnson at No. 5 and Roberts at No. 6.
