Men's Tennis Wins Fourth Straight

SALEM, Va. – The Bridgewater men's tennis team continued its strong late-season play with an 8-1 victory Wednesday over Roanoke College. The win was the fourth straight for the Eagles in ODAC play.

Bridgewater swept doubles play to jump out to a 3-0 lead.

Thomas Rishcoff and Emmett Johnson put the Eagles on the board with an 8-3 win over Matt Friedlander and Chris Teeple at No. 2 doubles.

Bridgewater's No. 1 duo, Joe Dillenbeck and Josh Rodgers, defeated Holden Branham and Jose Alvarado 8-5 while Freddie Roberts and Nathaniel Horner won by the same score at No. 3 doubles over Bill Goins and Jack Doriss.

Dillenbeck defeated Branham 6-3, 6-3 at No. 1 singles and Rodgers clinched the victory with a 6-1, 6-2 win at No. 3 over Teeple

Horner and Johnson each won his match in split sets. Horner won at No. 4 over Goins 4-6, 6-1, 1-0 (10-4) while Johnson took his match at No. 5 by a score of 6-3, 4-6, 1-0 (10-5) over Neel Shah.

Roberts won his match at No. 6 in straight sets over Friedlander 6-2. 6-2.

Roanoke's lone point came at No. 2 where Alvarado downed Rishcoff 7-5, 6-4, 1-0 (10-5)
