RICHMOND - Bridgewater College dropped a 7-0 decision to Division I Richmond in men's tennis action Friday afternoon.
The Spiders won the doubles point to winning all three flights. At No. 1, Richmond's Caleb Troy and James Aronson defeated Joe Dillenbeck and Josh Rodgers 6-0. Brice Polender and Klein Evans defeated Freddie Roberts and Nathanie Horner at No. 2 doubles 6-1 while Matt Fernandez and George Lovitt downed Emmett Johnson and Sonet Gandhi by the same 6-1 tally at the No. 3 slot.
The Spiders won all six singles flights in straight sets.
The closest match came at No. 2 singles were Rodgers came up just short against Aronson, losing two close sets 7-5, 6-4. Dillenbeck played well at No. 1 doubles, falling to Troy 6-1, 6-3.
The Spiders controlled the four remaining flights, losing a total of just two games.
