The Bridgewater College men's track and field team began its 2017-18 indoor season at the Bast-Cregger Invitational hosted by Roanoke on Friday and Saturday.
Bridgewater had three distance runners finish in the top ten in the 5000 meter. Robert Theimer finished third overall with a time of 15:44.75. Max Weidman finished seventh at 16:09.98 and Shane Gibson was ninth overall with a time of 16:17.63.
Ian Vest ran a time of 2:46.86 for sixth overall in the 1000 meter.
Jarod Rambo won the 300 meter in his collegiate debut with a time of 37.25. Christopher Moore finished third in the 300 meter with a time of 37.98.
Jesse East finished 22nd in the 400 meter run with a time of 54.55.
Rambo was second overall in the 600 meter with a time of 1:28.92. Moore finished behind him at third overall, clocking a time of 1:29.43.
Prescott Terrell began his season with a win in the weight throw on a toss of 15.12m. He was also fourth in the shot put with a throw of 13.31m.
Chris Wolfgang cracked the top five as well in the weight throw, with a third place finish on a throw of 14.18m.
In his collegiate debut, freshman Chase Rosenthal was the overall winner for 60 meter hurdles with a time of 8.50.
Jordon Weatherwax represented the Eagles in the pole vault, marking 3.65m for a seventh place overall finish.
For the men's high jump, Rashon Davis was 11th after clearing 1.78 meters.
The Eagles will return to action in 2018 at the Virginia Tech Invite in Blacksburg, Va. on January 13th, beginning at 11:00 a.m.
