Eagles Highlight in Two Events

Bridgewater track and field competes in 200 meter and triple jump

Winston-Salem, N.C.- Bridgewater College indoor track and field senior Amber Celen won the 200 meter in the second day of events at the Camel City Invitational. Celen was first to finish with a time of 25.04. That time leads the conference and the South/Southeast Region. It also puts her second in the nation in Division III. 

Courtney Adams also competed in the triple jump for the women Saturday, finishing 22nd with a mark of 10.31 meters (33'10"). 

The men had two representers in the the 200 meter and the triple jump as well. 

Davonta Womack finished 18th in the 200 meter at 22.84, which currently ranks second in the ODAC. 

Brandon Christian finished eighth in the triple jump with a mark of 13.29 (43'7.25"). 

Both teams will travel to Lexington, Va. next weekend for the VMI Winter Relays beginning on Friday Feb. 9.
