SALSIBURY, Md. - The Bridgewater College men's cross country team turned in a solid performance Saturday as the Eagles finished sixth in a field of 14 teams at the Don Cathcart Invitational hosted by Salisbury University.
Luke Sohl (Burke, Va./Lake Braddock) finished the 8K course with a time of 25:38 to pace the BC effort with a 17th place overall finish.
The next three Eagles finished in a pack separated by just one second. Tim Miller (Union Bridge, Md./Francis Scott Key) placed 36th with a time of 26:58, just ahead of Ryan Speray (Gloucester, Va./Gloucester) who was credited with the same time in 37th. Troy Jackson (Midlothian, Va./Midlothian) was another second back in 38th place. Abe Rittenhouse (Green Bank, W.Va./Pocahontas) placed 53rd with a time of 27-27 to round out the BC scoring.
The Naval Academy won the meet with Division II East Stroudsburg finishing second. Salisbury finished third followed by Christopher Newport, Virginia Wesleyan and the Eagles.
Bridgewater returns to action on Friday, Oct. 14 at the Blue Ridge Invite hosted by Appalachian State University.
