FOREST, Va. - Bridgewater College junior pitcher Heather Jenkins went 2-0 in two appearances last week to earn Old Dominion Athletic Conference (ODAC) Pitcher of the Week honors.
The honor is the second of the year for the junior hurler.
Jenkins saw her scoreless innings streak snapped this week at 33.1 innings but the junior righty went 2-0 to help lead the Eagles to a 3-1 week on the diamond.
The Locust Grove, Va. native tossed a complete-game four-hitter on Monday evening against Greensboro to help lead the Eagles to an 8-0 victory in six innings.
On Saturday, Jenkins retired the first batter before allowing a run to visiting Randolph in the first but cruised the rest of the way to pace the Eagles in a 4-1 win.
On the week, Jenkins allowed 11 hits and struck out 11 batters to run her wins total to 11 on the year.
Jenkins and the Eagles are back in action on Wednesday at Lynchburg in a key conference doubleheader. First pitch against the Hornets is set for 3:00 p.m.
