Swim team finishes fourth at ODAC meet
The Bridgewater College Eagles finished in fourth place at the
conclusion of the ODAC Championship Swim Meet on Sunday at Radford
University.
Washington and Lee won the championship with 1,010 points.
Randolph-Macon placed second with 707 points followed by Sweet
Briar with 538, Bridgewater with 276 and Randolph College with 202.
Guilford, Hollins and Emory & Henry rounded out the field.
The Atlantic States championship was held in conjunction with the
ODAC meet with Greensboro College, Agnes Scott College, College of
Notre Dame and Salem College joining the eight ODAC teams.
Bridgewater finished in sixth place out of the 12 teams.
Bridgewater also took home one of the top ODAC honors as Morgan
Cordle received the Bonnie Kestner Sportsmanship Award.
The Eagles added three Top 10 finishes Sunday with Cordle placing
eight in the 1650 yards freesyle, Sophie Thomas 10th in the 100
freestyle and Lauren Clague 10th in the 200 butterfly.
