BC swimmers defeat Emory & Henry
The Bridgewater College swimming team defeated Emory &
Henry, 110-74, in a dual meet Thursday at the BC pool.
Megan Cordle and Lauren Clague each won two individual events.
Cordle took first in the 800 freestyle with a time 10:58.34 and the
100 freestyle with a time of 1:10.44 Clague won the 200 freestyle
in 2:27.10 and the 200 butterfly in 2:45.19.
Also winning for the Eagles were Katie Schlemm with a time of
1:30.71 in the 100 breaststroke and Sophie Thomas in the 50 meter
freestyle with a time of 30.76.
Turning in second-place finishes for the Eagles were Ashlee Site in
the 800 freestyle and 50 freestyle, Lauren Gladish in the 100
backstroke and 400 freestyle, Lauren Clymore in the 100
breaststroke and Amber Hoover in the 200 butterly.
Cordle, Clague, Thomas, Schlemm combined to win the 200 medley
relay with a time of 2:21.34.
