Freshman Danielle Dillon pulled a daily double winning the 200 yard intermediate medley and the 1,000 yard freestyle events, but it wasn't enough as the Bridgewater Eagles swimmers fell to Randolph-Macon 150-100.

In the team’s first home meet of the season, the Bridgewater Eagles swim team turned in a convincing 121-53 victory over Old Dominion Athletic Conference foe Emory & Henry at Nininger Pool.
December 5, 2009 Eagles Swim Team Finishes Third at Yellow Jacket Invitational
After entering the day in third place, the Bridgewater Eagles swim team rounded out the weekend with a third place finish at the Yellow Jacket Invitational at Randolph-Macon. BC’s 338 points placed the team in third place overall.
October 31, 2009 Swim Team Victorious at Emory & Henry
In the team’s first tri-meet of the season, the Bridgewater Eagles swim team finished a top the pack, easily defeating host Emory and Henry and Salem in action at Emory and Henry.

In polling conducted by the Old Dominion Athletic Conference, the conference coaches selected the Bridgewater Eagles to finish fourth in this conference in the Preseason poll released by the ODAC office.
