Swim Team Falls to Randolph Macon 150-100

ASHLAND, Va – Freshman Danielle Dillon

the 1,000 yard freestyle events, but it wasn't enough as the
Bridgewater Eagles swimmers fell to Randolph-Macon 150-100.
Dillon was BC's only swimmer to win an individual event, but the
Eagles put up a strong showing in the pool at Randolph-Macon,
sweeping the 1-3 spots in the 200 yard IM and taking home numerous
second and third place finishes.
BC went 2-3 in the 100 yard backstroke and breaststroke events,
with Lauren Clymore finishing second and Amber Hoover finishing
third in the backstroke portion of the meet. Freshman Jeni Zeiler
and Laura Alstadt went 2-3 in the 100 yard breaststroke.
Dillon ran away with the 1,000 yard freestyle, with a time of
11:43.10 to win the event by nearly 13 seconds. The freshman won
the 200 yard IM by nearly eight seconds with a time of 2:28.86.
BC was also victorious in the 400 yard freestyle relay as the team
of Danielle Dillon, Lauren Clague, Patricia Haden and Sophie Thomas
rolled to victory in a time of 4:06.69, winning the event by 42
