BRIDGEWATER, Va. – Another swim season is in the books for the Bridgewater Eagles swim team and what an incredibly successful season it was as the Eagles rewrote the record books in the pool during the 2009-10 campaign.

Freshman Danielle Dillon turned in a brilliant freshman season, posting five individual school records. The Roanoke, Va. native also aided in breaking six school records in relay events.

Another Bridgewater freshman also posted a stellar rookie season as Jeni Zeiler knocked off six individual records to go along with three relay marks.

Sophomore Sophie Thomas broke three individual school marks in the sprint events, while aiding six relays in breaking school records.

All in all, the Eagles broke 28 team records, including nearly every individual record.

During the season, Bridgewater turned in a pair of victories at dual and tri-meets with team wins over Emory & Henry and Hollins at Nininger Pool.

Next season, the Eagles will look to continue their dominance as the team returns everyone except for seniors Lauren Gladish, Sarah Morrison and Lee Peroutky and junior Lauren Clague.

Bridgewater finished the season in fourth place at the 2010 ODAC Championships.
