Women's Swimming Concludes Competitive Yellow Jacket Invite

ASHLAND, Va. - The Bridgewater College women's swimming team finished the Yellow Jacket Invitational in ninth place in a difficult field.

Olivia Heeb-Wade set a school record for the second straight day, swimming 18:58.24 in the 1650 yard free to place 11th.

Heeb-Wade also had BC's second-best individual finish of the day, placing 12th in the 100 breast. Jenna Walmer was 16th and Emma Daw was 17th.
 
In the 800 free relay, Daw, Kelley Hilliker, Rachael King and Taylor Berard placed 13th in 8:55.05. Hilliker, Heeb-Wade, King and Daw were 15th in the 400 free relay (3:55.10), and Jennifer Hess, Heeb-Wade, King and Berard were 16th in the 200 medley relay (2:05.20).
 
In the 400 IM, Hilliker was 16th (5:18.52), with Walmer (5:37.97) two spots behind.
 
Daw was 20th in the 100 fly in 1:04.37, three places ahead of teammate King (1:05.34). King was 16th in the 200 fly (2:25.98).
 
Hilliker (2:24.49) was 16th in the 200 back, with Morgan Beauregard in 22nd (2:31.24). The pair also placed highly in the 100 back, with Hilliker in 17th (1:06.33) and Beauregard in 22nd (2:31.24).
 
Walmer placed 18th in the 100 breast (2:43.01), with Emma Bashline finishing 24th in 3:13.29.
 
In the 200 free, Laurel Glover (2:13.58) and Kaitlyn Hilliker (2:13.86) both placed in the top-35. Genevieve Young was 36th in the 100 free, in 1:00.31.
 
Bridgewater placed 9th of 11 with 313 points.

The Eagles are now off until January, when they will resume dual meet action at Gallaudet on Jan. 13.
