It's hard to beat a team three times in one season. That adage rang true as the Virginia Wesleyan Marlins used a 26-7 run in the first half to put Bridgewater in a hole it couldn't dig out of as the Eagles fell by a 64-46 score in the ODAC Quarterfinals at the Salem Civic Center.

Following the conclusion of the 2009-10 regular season on Saturday, the Old Dominion Athletic Conference (ODAC) has released the pairings for the upcoming 2010 ODAC Women's Basketball tournament. Bridgewater has earned the fourth seed and is slated to play Virginia Wesleyan in the opening round of the tournament on Thursday, February 25.

Stingy Defense Leads Bridgewater Women to 52-42 Win at Lynchburg
Shooting a dismal 20% from the field and trailing by 11, the Bridgewater Eagles (16-7, 12-6 ODAC) used a stellar defense to storm back and take the lead at 37-35 with under ten minutes left in the second half. Bridgewater eventually pulled away to defeat the Lynchburg Hornets by a 52-42 tally, forcing a season-high 32 turnovers in the process.
