Baum Sets New Program Freshman Assist Record

Madison Baum set a new program record for assists by a freshman.

BRIDGEWATER – With her seven assists in the final game of the regular season, Madison Baum set a new program record for assists by a freshman with 134.

Baum passed the previous mark of 132 assists set by Heather Landes during the 1996-97 season.

Baum will also set new more program freshman records this year. Her 5.6 assists per game will break the mark set by Anne Brown more than 40 years ago in the 1976-77 season. Baum's assist-to-turnover ratio of 1.90 will eclipse the standard of 1.627 set by Katy Herr Lovell in 2003-04.

In this year's NCAA stats, Baum ranks among the Top 20 in Division III and second among all freshmen in D-III in assists per game. She ranks among the Top 50 in assist-to-turnover ratio and is also second among freshmen in that category.
