Herbert Named to CoSIDA Academic All-District Team

2017 CoSIDA Women's At-Large Academic All-District Teams

GREENWOOD, Ind. -
Women's golf national champion Christina Herbert has been recognized for her work in the classroom as well as on the course, being named to the CoSIDA Academic All-District Team.

The 2016-17 College Sports Information Directors of America (CoSIDA) Academic All-District Women's At-Large Team recognizes the nation's top student-athletes for their combined performances athletically and in the classroom.

Sports that do not have their own Academic All-American team are included in the at-large category, making it generally the most competitive.

Herbert was named the ODAC/Farm Bureau Scholar-Athlete this spring and has maintained a 3.92 GPA as a psychology major.

She won the NCAA Division III national championship by two strokes, after leading the nation in scoring average in 2016-17.

The junior was also named the ODAC Player of the Year, a WGCA first team All-American, and won ODAC individual medalist honors for the second time on each occasion.

She has been a WGCA All-American, All-East Region, and All-ODAC selection in each of her three seasons at Bridgewater.

First-team Academic All-District honorees advance to the CoSIDA Academic All-America Team ballot, where honorees will be selected later this month. For more information about the Academic All-District and Academic All-America Teams program, please visit www.cosida.com.
