Eagles fall to Lynchburg, 16-11


The 2009 season came to an end Saturday for the Bridgewater College lacrosse team as the Eagles lost to Lynchburg College, 16-11, in ODAC action.

The Hornets jumped out to a quick 10-3 lead and led 11-5 at the break.

The Eagles outscored the Hornets 6-5 in the second half, but were unable to overcome the first-half deficit.

Mary Robinson with five goals and Erin Cartwright with two goals and five assists led the BC attack. Leslie Crawford scored two goals while Noelle Najjar and Brooke Barham each score one goal. Paige Reigen finished with one assist for the Eagles.

Morgan Logue led the Hornets attack with five goals.

The Eagles finish the season with a record of 7-9.
