Women's Soccer Earns NSCAA Team Academic Award

BRIDGEWATER, Va. - The Bridgewater College women's soccer team received the NSCAA (National Soccer Coaches Association of America) Team Academic Award for the 2011-12 academic year.

The Eagles were one of 497 women's soccer teams (all divisions) from across the country to receive the honor. To earn the recognition a team grade point average of 3.00 or higher was needed.

The Bridgewater team, under the direction of head coach Mike Van Horn, posted a team GPA of 3.17.

ODAC members Virginia Wesleyan and Washington and Lee also received the award.
