BRIDGEWATER, Va. - Bridgewater College women's socce head coach Mike Van Horn has rescheduled the Fall ID Camp. The camp will now be held at Bridgewater College on Oct. 14 from 10: 30 a.m. - 3:30 p.m. The camp is open to players ages 15-19. Cost of the one-day camp is $85 and includes lunch and a t-shirt.coach
The Fall ID Camp is designed for the serious soccer athlete whose ultimate goal is to play soccer in college. The women's soccer coaching staff wants to give players the opportunity to experience a collegiate training session, tour the College and meet the coaches, staff and players within our program.
Attending the Fall ID Camp gives players a unique possibility to learn the coaching styles of BC's staff from one on one interaction. Since the Fall ID Camp is limited to the first 40 applicants, players have numerous opportunities to receive coaching points. BC's coaching staff evaluates and instructs players on their technical, tactical, physical and psychological performance and decisions.
The camp will be conducted by Van Horn and his coaching staff. Van Horn just completed his 10th season as head coach of the women's soccer program at Bridgewater where he has a 118-68-10 career record. This past season he was named ODAC Coach of the Year for the second time.
The 2017 Bridgewater women's soccer team posted a 16-5-1 record in 2017, tying the program record for most wins in a season. The team advanced to the ODAC Championship game for the second time in program history where the Eagles lost a tough 1-0 contest to nationally-ranked Lynchburg in overtime.
