Gordon Receives All-State Recognition

FERRUM, Va. - Bridgewater College's Katie Gordon was named to the VaSID All-State Women's Tennis College Division second team released Thursday.

Sweet Briar's Ariel Taylor was named the state player and rookie of the year while Washington and Lee's Eric Ishida was named coach of the year.

Earlier this season, Gordon was the second team selection at number one singles on the All-ODAC team as the Winchester, Va. native finished the year with a 13-9 overall record and a 12-7 mark in dual match action at the number one spot. The freshman's season was highlighted by a five-match winning streak at the tail end of the year.
