BRIDGEWATER, Va. – On Saturday afternoon at the BC Tennis Courts, the Bridgewater Eagles women's tennis team will put its nine-match winning streak on the line when it hosts Randolph-Macon in the opening round of the 2012 Old Dominion Athletic Conference (ODAC) Tournament.

Bridgewater enters Saturday's quarterfinal affair with the Yellow Jackets as the No. 2 seed, while Randolph-Macon earned the No. 7 seed.

Earlier in the season, Bridgewater blanked Randolph-Macon in Ashland, Va. by a 9-0 score.

In top flight singles action, sophomore Katie Gordon is set to matchup with Yellow Jackets number one player Caty Betz-Holcomb. In March, Gordon posted a 6-1, 6-0 victory over Betz-Holcomb. On the year, Betz-Holcomb owns a 3-13 dual match record, while Gordon enters postseason play with an 8-6 dual match mark.

Sophomore Katy Bergey is set to take on Randolph-Macon's Morgan Parks at number two singles in a rematch from earlier this season. Bergey posted a 6-1, 6-0 victory over Parks during Bridgewater's victory over the Yellow Jackets in March. Entering the weekend, Bergey leads the Eagles with 12 dual match victories against just three losses and owns a nine-match winning streak in singles play. Parks owns a dual match mark of 2-14 on the year.

At number three, sophomore Brittany Wilson will draw Randolph-Macon's Jane Oh. The two met up earlier in the year in the conference matchup between the two teams with Wilson posting a 6-3, 6-0 victory over Oh. During the spring campaign, Oh has seen limited action, splitting her six matches. Wilson's rattled off seven-straight wins after dropping her first five matches of the dual match season.

Senior Emily Schweitzer is set up for a rematch at number four with Randolph-Macon's Reba Sledd. Schweitzer controlled play against the Yellow Jackets in March as the Richmond, Va. native was a 6-0, 6-1 winner over Sledd. During the spring season, Schweitzer's rolled up a 9-5 overall record, including a 7-2 mark in conference play. Sledd owns four wins for the Yellow Jackets on the year, including a 3-3 record in conference affairs.

At number five, junior Olivia Stone will draw Randolph-Macon's Chelsey Jones. In March, Stone upended Jones by a 6-2, 6-2 tally to help propel the Eagles to a shutout win of the Yellow Jackets. On the year, Stone owns a 9-4 dual match record and a 7-1 tally in conference action. Jones enters Saturday's match with a team-high eight wins against seven losses to lead the Yellow Jackets in singles play.

Senior Ally McConaughy could draw one of two players from the Yellow Jackets on Saturday afternoon at number six. McConaughy could matchup with either Caroline Rhodes or Jessie McCollum. Earlier in the season, McConaughy posted a 6-0, 6-0 shutout win over Rhodes. On the season, McConaughy owns a 10-4 dual match mark, while Rhodes owns a 4-7 record.

In doubles play, the Eagles are led by the duo of Bergey and Gordon at number one and the tandem of McConaughy and Schweitzer at number three. Both teams have 10 wins during the dual match campaign.

The winner of Saturday's match will meet up with the winner of the 3 vs. 6 match putting third-seeded Hollins against sixth-seeded Randolph. The ODAC semifinals will move to a neutral site, with Randolph-Macon hosting the final two rounds of the conference tournament, starting Saturday, April 28.
