Eagles Turn In Solid Effort At Liberty

LYNCHBURG, Va. - Bridgewater College athletes turned in solid performances Saturday at the Liberty Collegiate Invitational.

Whitney Fitzgerald turned in a personal best in the 800 with a time of 2:24.52 - a time that ranks sixth best in the conference this season.

Melanie Waters turned in a pair of strong efforts in the jumps. She posted a 16 feet, 5.75 inches effort in the long jump and a 35 feet, 9.5 inches mark in the triple jump. She now ranks No. 3 in the ODAC in the long jump and No. 4 in the triple.

In the 400, Elizabeth Stump placed 10th with a solid time of 1:02.63.
