Bridgewater Women Head to Aggie Last Chance

GREENSBORO, N.C. - Bridgewater College sent several women's track & field athletes to the North Carolina A&T Aggie Last Chance Meet on Sunday.

Amber Celen ran 11.66 in the 100 meter prelims, which set a new ODAC record and is the seventh fastest time in D-III history.

Celen placed fourth in the event despite a slow start in the finals, clocking a 11.94. She also ran 24.54 in the 200 meters to place 15th.

Celen was joined by Tye Meador, Emily Valle and Courtney Adams in the 4x100m relay, with the group running 47.94, just 0.12 seconds shy of the school mark.

Katelyn Senger was sixth overall in the discus throw, with a toss of 40.97m/134'5".

Celen was also seventh in the long jump, with a mark of 5.65m/18'6.5". Valle (5.12m/16'9.75") and Meador (5.05m/16'7") were 15th and 16th in the event.

Bridgewater will have more last chance meets this week on Monday at Swarthmore and Thursday at Salisbury.
