Eagles Win Two At St. Mary's Tournament

ST. MARY'S CITY, Md. - Bridgewater College won both of its matches in straight sets Saturday at the St. Mary's College Seahawks volleyball invitational.

The Eagles defeated Wesley College and City College of New York, both by indentical 3-0 scores.

The Eagles defeated Wesley 25-19, 25-17, 25-17.

Katie Baker (Strasburg, Va./Strasburg) paced the Eagles at the net with six blocks, 11 kills and an impressive .688 hitting percentage. Cadie Castle (Mineral, Va./Louisa) added seven kills while Lindsay Kallam (Virginia Beach, Va./Princess Anne) dished out 25 assists. Casey O'Leary (Quinton, Va./New Kent) led the team in digs with 11. 

Bridgewater knocked off CCNY 25-10, 25-17, 25-21.

Morgan Foster (Stafford, Va./Mountain View) paced the Eagles at the net with 11 kills and Baker added 10 kills. O'Leary led the team in digs with 16 while Kallam posted 19 assists and Kylie Graham (Spotsylvania, Va./Spotsylvania) added 15 assists.

The Eagles finished the regular season at .500 with a 15-15 record.

The Eagles open play in the ODAC tournament on Nov. 2 when they travel to Virginia Wesleyan College. Bridgewater is the No. 5 seed while the Marlins are seeded No. 4.
