BRIDGEWATER, Va. – The Bridgewater Eagles volleyball team will host Emory and Henry College for the Old Dominion Athletic Conference (ODAC) tournament quarterfinals on Wednesday night at 7 p.m.
Bridgewater earned the number three seed after the regular season ended in a three way tie with the Eagles, Lynchburg and Virginia Wesleyan. Bridgewater defeated the Marlins of Virginia Wesleyan in three sets, earning the Eagles the third seed, while the visiting Wasps earned the sixth seed.
The last time the two teams met, the Eagles opened the season at home with a 3-1 win over the Wasps.
Senior Bethany Doman has stood out statistically this season totaling 43 service aces, 195 kills, 255 digs and 30 blocks.
Setter Lindsay Kallam is currently ranked fourth in the ODAC in number of kills per set with 7.70. She has totaled 716 assists during the current season.
Senior libero Casey O'Leary tops the leader board for the ODAC with number of digs totaling 524. O'Leary's 1,799 career digs put her in the number one spot in the Bridgewater volleyball record book by over 350 digs.
Freshman Nikki Snyder has recorded 239 digs for the Eagles defense.
Emory and Henry outside hitter Jamie Cockerham is currently ranked third on the ODAC leaderboard for total number of kills with 355. Kelly Mae Kerlin leads the back row with 331 total digs.
