Studtmann Selected to Academic All-America Team

Carleigh Studtmann named to the 2017 Academic All-American Division III Volleyball team

AUSTIN, Texas- Senior volleyball player Carleigh Studtmann (Salem, Va.) has been named to the CoSIDA Academic All-America® Division III volleyball team, as voted on by the College Sports Information Directors of America (CoSIDA).

Studtmann became eligible for the All-America Team after being named to the CoSIDA District V Academic All-District Team.

The middle hitter was named the ODAC/Virginia Farm Bureau Insurance Scholar-Athlete of the year in back-to-back seasons (2016-2017). 

She maintains a 4.00 grade point average as a Biochemistry major with minors in Mathematics and Neuroscience.

Studtmann is a three-time All-ODAC team honoree. She was selected as a first team honoree for the 2017 season and second team and third team selections in 2016 and 2015, respectively.

This season, she finished third in the ODAC in hitting percentage (.318), eighth in solo blocks (17), and ninth in overall blocks per set (0.65).
