Eagles Place Third at Marlins Invitational
The Bridgewater College women's cross country team finished third at the Marlins Invitational hosted Saturday by Virginia Wesleyan College.
The Eagles were paced by a pair of first-year runners in the top five. Samantha Hancock placed third with a time of 23:49.11 on the 6K course. Teammate Molly Smith finished with a time of 24:00.56 to place fourth overall.
Lynchburg finished first in the team standings with 30 points, followed by Virginia Wesleyan with 48 points and the Eagles with 57 points.
