Mills Turns In Solid Effort At Blue Ridge Invite

BOONE, N.C. - Bridgewater's Olivia Mills (Fredericksburg, Va./Fredericksburg Christian) turned in a strong effort Friday afternoon at the Blue Ridge Invite hosted by Appalachian State University.

Running in the Gold Race against a field filled with Division I runners, Mills placed 28th overall out of 177 participants. Mills finished with 5K course with a time of 19:01.1.

The rest of the women's team competed in the Open Race 5K and the Eagles placed second out of five teams in the event, finishing just behind UNC-Wilmington.

Molly Smith placed first in the 5K Open Race with a winning time of 19:42.1. Stephanie Breen was ninth, followed by Whitney Fitzgerald in 11th, Katie Notarangelo in 15th and Samantha Hancock in 18th place.
