NEW ORLEANS – The Bridgewater women's cross country team and freshman Kaylee Kubisiak earned 2012 All-Academic status announced by the U.S. Track and Field and Cross Country Coaches Association (USTFCCCA) on Friday.
To qualify as a USTFCCCA All-Academic Cross Country Team, the team must have a cumulative team GPA of 3.10 or better.
Bridgewater qualified for team All-Academic honors with a team GPA of 3.438, along with six other Old Dominion Athletic Conference (ODAC) schools.

The Abbottstown, Pa. native graduated from New Oxford High School and is now a health and exercise major here at Bridgewater. For her rookie season, she piled up the accolades. In the ODAC meet, she finished second place, earning her a spot on the first-team All-ODAC team, as well as the Rookie of the Year honor. The freshman finished fifth in the South/Southeast Region meet and picked up All-Region honors. Kubisiak also ran in the NCAA Championship meet and crossed the line in 123rd place.
Kubisiak is only one of three ODAC student-athletes recognized for the 2012 season/semester.
