BRIDGEWATER, Va. - The Bridgewater College women's cross country team will travel to Mount Berry, Ga., to compete in another postseason race at the NCAA South-Southeast Region Championships hosted by Berry College on Saturday.
Last timeout, Bridgewater scored 130 total points to finish fifth in an 11-team field at the ODAC Championships.
Freshman Magdalene Mann has emerged as the Eagles top runner towards the end of season and was just 2.1 seconds shy of cracking the All-ODAC team at the conference race. Mann ran a time of 24:22.4 to lead BC with a 15th place finish.
Senior Erin Quinn posted a time of 24:59.8 to finish within the top 25 at 22nd. Junior Maryellen Hauver crossed the finish line in 25:13.5 for 27th, and freshman Calista Ariel placed 31st on a time of 25:36.9.
Last year, Bridgewater finished seventh at the regionals and former runner Kaylee Kubisiak made the All-Region team.
Race time is set for 10:00 a.m. The top two teams receives automatics bids to the NCAA DIII Championships and the top 35 finishers are named All-Region.
